Sad News
My wife came home from work today and told me about a person she knows through work and that they have gone missing. I guess they found their abandon car and have yet to come up with any leads over the weekend. This is so sad...Jesus loves this dear person. I'm again reminded why we are planting this new church...it's all about people.
Lap Top
I've had this new lap top for 2 or 3 weeks and I'm on the computer way too much. It's so easy to just sit on the couch and turn it on and away we go. My wife suggested that I leave the laptop at home when we go away next week. Does she think I can't limit my computer time...likely. She has a good point, but with a new church launching in another month I'm not sure I can let go of all email contact for 5 days.
Only 34 more days till launch...I need God more than ever. We are doing everything we can to make this a great success...without God we will suck (to borrow my sons way of saying things). Niagara Falls we are on the way!

- 24 is the best show on TV
- my launch team is the best team around
- God never ceases to amaze me
- our cat has a good life...she eats and sleeps and shows affection enough to keep the family happy
- best sport - hockey
- second best sport- nascar
- best friend - Brenda (my wife)
- favorite place to vacation - the beach - Myrtle Beach here we come
- best blogger - churchatthemovies.blogspot.com - you owe me Roger
- person I know with the most hot air --- I'm not that stupid to tell
Enough thoughts - see ya.

Weekend Over
Yesterday I did a little cross border shopping with my wife ( that means we went to NY state to buy groceries), we do this once per week. For those that frown on us taking our dollars out of the country instead of spending them here in the local economy, don't worry we spend enough in the area already. We look at our shopping expedition as a time get away together and to kinda hide for a couple hours. Occasionally we will grab a bite to eat along the way and that's right up my alley. We also save a little money by doing our shopping with our NY neighbours, the only draw back lately has been some longer lines at the border crossing.
Today, I'm at office getting some of the mundane tasks done. Do they every get done? It seems that for every exciting task, there's 3 mundane tasks awaiting. I guess that's part of the job.
Wow, 5 weeks until we launch. That's incredible! I've been meeting new people, getting our equipment ordered, setting up advertising, recruiting people to the team, planning the first day, working on messages, meeting with the team, setting up the office, paying bills, overseeing the sale of our old property and the list could go on. Lots to do, but well worth it. We are doing this for those who have yet to come to faith and those who need to be part of a church that fosters life change.
That's all for now...I'm doing pretty good at keeping this thing up to date.

April Fools- no joke here
It's a sunny and cold Saturday morning. It's nice to see the sun and feel the rays beating through the front window of our home. The brilliance of the sun reflecting off the snow is almost blinding. It's a really beautiful and awesome site, but no matter how brilliant it is I still look forward to Spring and a quick trip to Myrtle Beach next month.
Someone pointed out that our church launch is on April Fools (April 1), but this new church is no joke. I trust God will draw people to faith that day and really make a fool of the ultimate fool, Satan.
Had a great meeting with our potential worship leader last night. I am amazed at people that can play instruments. I watched him play his guitar and I was very aware, that if I tried to play guitar I would have my fingers tied up in the strings. Another great picture of God equipping and gifting people.
We added a new tag line to our logo this week, "a church for those who don't do church". Our prayer is to bring in people who don't go, have been hurt within the church or have stopped going.

I must be close to the world's worst blogger
Somehow I need to start blogging regularly or no one is going to read this thing. So, staring today I'm turning over a new leaf ( may need to turn over a few until I make this a new habit)
What's up with the church?
We have a new office and we just placed our equipment order from Portable Church Industries. We have a launch date of April 1 at the Cineplex theater in Niagara Falls. Our team continues to grow. We will likely add a worship leader to the team in the next week. I have my second meeting with him tonight.
I am continually amazed at God's provision for this new church. Amazing stuff!
