Humble Yourself

Sunday was a great day and I continue to ponder my own prayer life. Let me assure you when I deliver a message I am talking to myself more than anyone else. Trust me, Sunday was painful for my own prayer life or lack of prayer life. So I've had lots to think about and pray about since then. The first point about humble prayer has me really thinking. Am I humble before God? That means an attitude of submitting to Him in all ways including to His answers to prayer. Let me illustrate one aspect of humble prayer. God may impress on me the following, "change what you are praying", "change what you are expecting", "pray this way", "yes I will answer but not now", "no that's not the best thing for you", "yes I will am at work". Do you get the picture? God knows best and we must humble ourselves to hear Him through the noise of our own wants and desires. Keep praying, keep trusting, keep believing.
