Guest Blogger - Ian Gordon

Life at times seems to be a never ending series of car, mortgage, utilities, taxes, credit card and insurance payments. When emergencies hit or when money is tight these payments can be even more stressful. I appreciate the limited control I do have when using direct withdrawal/deposit plans to make payments. These plans allow me to meet monthly obligations without running to the bank, writing cheques or dealing with lost statements. I also use a direct deposit plan to meet my weekly giving to Church at the Falls.

I challenge everyone to initiate a CATF direct deposit plan. It has many advantages best of which includes not having to worry about missing regular giving opportunities even when I am away on vacation or absent for any reason. I know that my regular giving is received on time and used to make a difference in the lives of people that CATF ministers to. If the Spirit moves me I also give the regular way on Sundays for special projects and needs.

You can start direct deposit giving by picking up a form on Sunday morning from our Host Team Leader, Lindsay Neilson or send an email to questions@churchatthefalls.com asking for the form to be emailed.

  1. Thanks Ian for sharing your thoughts with us. Great way to stay on track with our regular giving. God blesses us for returning back a portion to Him.

I challenge anyone! Give of yourself first to the Lord, then take 10% and share it back to the Church.

If you give because you want to and because your heart is for God, God will bless you back with what he feels you need.

Ask me, I have experience, I will never hold backi giving, it is the pure joy I live for, his love and his gifts back for others in need to use.

When I give, I get so excited.....
