Brokenness All Around

Just recently, in our community, two men jumped off bridges to their death. One jumped in front of a transport truck and the other from the Skyway into the water. I drive past both locations on my way to work. I must be honest, at first I was fixated on the incidents. Since the initial thought process has passed, I now think about their souls. My heart breaks to think of two men getting so desperate that their only relief was to end their lives in such shocking manners. My prayer as I travel this stretch of road, "God, wreck me with the reality of the spiritual condition of those within my community". So many hurting people -- the fields are ready for harvest.
