Thanks to the many volunteers from Church at the Falls, Mountain Park Church and the many people from the community that donated peanut butter, we hit our 1000 jar goal. It was incredible to see the jars come rolling in one by one and dozen by dozen. What an incredible day! I am so proud of each person that gave of their time, talent and treasure to make this day a big success. Because of your generosity, Project Share has a whole bunch of peanut butter to give away to those that are in need. In addition to the peanut butter we also raised somewhere around $700 from the charity BBQ we operated all day at Zehrs - with all funds going to Project Share. I must also say thank you so much to Zehrs for all your support. We couldn't have done it without your help.
Some other great news, the gentleman that was so in need of a microwave to cook his meals (he had no other proper cooking appliance) received that gift from us last week. Guess what, he came to church this past Sunday. He came because one person cared enough to start building a relationship with him, another person cared enough to give the money to buy the microwave and a bunch of people prayed for God to work in this man's life. That's what being the hands of Jesus is all about.
CATF we have only just begun this great adventure of showing the community the love of Jesus.
