Why

I was reminded today why as a church we strategically engage in our culture. When I say church, it refers to those that are followers of Christ. We are the church and we are to be in the world, living our faith so that people see us and want what we have. Anyhow, back to what I saying...today our leadership team met at the food court in the Fairview Mall and two of us saw people we knew that are not connected with Church at the Falls. We each had the opportunity to go talk with these individuals and further build relationships. If we would have been "out of sight" we would have missed the chance to talk with these friends.

As a church it is so easy for us to seclude ourselves from daily life. It would have been easy for our leadership team to "hide" in our office or meet in someones home. Instead we have often met in very public places, because it keeps us focused on people and not ourselves.

Let's each take our faith to the community meeting places. Don't hide your light...let it shine.
